Frontline989
For the longest time Ive been a little stuck with my Space Wolves. I got to a point where I had all the units I wanted for my lists and rather than buy sub par units just to own them(skyclaws, predators, blood claws, etc) I didnt get anything to add onto my wolves for over a year. When 6th edition came out I saw the way the game was going towards allies but Im just the type of player who would rather add onto what I already have then get fooled into starting a new army and getting mixed up into the whole allies mix & match hodge podge. This maybe has made my lists sub standard when compared to other 6th edition armies but I dont care. I play the Space Wolves and dont want to start IG and since I already own a PA army I dont want to start collecting another PA army when I could just add to the one I have. So Im wondering how many others are going with the mixed armies and how many are sticking with pure Space Wolves? Grimtooth
I am pure SW unless I want to play a fluff list and then I ally in Death Company as 13th Co Wulfen. Ghostwolfalpha
I like to stay pure SW as much as possible, but in order to compete with flyers and because I love jump packs (and sky claws just dont cut it), I have picked up a small detachment of BA that like ramses, I fluff up and say they are 13th company. If you plan to be competitive, you will be at a disadvantage, but are by no means screwed. We have a solid codex and its all about playstyle. I like heavy drop pods and being very aggressive. They get my packs where they need to go and are more then worth the points. I measure everything against GH's. Its worth a bit more then two GHs, but I would lose more then that walking them to where the DP puts them. So in my opinion, they are totally worth the points. Â Sorry I kind of went on a rant there. Â I like the idea of allies, but in practice, it just feels like powergaming. Â Have faith in Fenris, you are not alone. ZayWolf
PURE SPACE WOLVES ALL THE WAY!!! Thunderwolf cav, rune priest/long fangs and drop pod/grey hunters or dreads  who needs allies when the pack is strong! ErikThunderclaws
Hi brother, I play pure wolves. You know, we're the fiercest. You don't really need allies, I mean: you can beat everything with your units... so just that Ghostwolfalpha said: Â Have faith in Fenris, you are not alone. Â But I also love jetpacks... and wulfens ;D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275778-sons-of-russ-brothers-of-battle/#findComment-3376087 Share on other sites
Lord Ragnarok
I also collect Relictors and would certainly ally them to my sw game wise. They are tied together in my GC fluff narrative Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275778-sons-of-russ-brothers-of-battle/#findComment-3376185 Share on other sites

Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
i ally in Raven Guard whenever I feel like it. They can bring a few toys I normally cant to the table top, and having a flyer or 2 on your side never hurts. Khine
I switch between my Space Wolves and my Raven guard and my Dark Eldar. The only time i've had to ally with my Ravenguard was to play a huge game.
