I've taken a break from commission work for the day and started on the Loken and Abaddon duel from FW. I tend to stay on another forum but venture over here when every now and again. The armour is slightly more green than in these pictures, but it gives you a good idea of how he's starting to look. If you don't mind me asking what made you decide to do the colours that way? ( so just to clarify the colours DO look great ) Anyway the main reason I wanted to post was to say that the paint job is amazing, you seem to have captured so much character in the models! Keep posting! I just had the paints in front of me at the time and I liked them. I'm really fussy with the usual chosen colours of Marines and I have a tendency to chose different palettes and shades. It just seemed to 'fit' really, I can't give you a better explanation than that to be honest. But thank you very much, it means a lot. Looks like a much more allegorical (i think that's the right word) interpretation of the battle - Loken the Luna Wolf, in whiter, purer armour, the traitor Abaddon in dark, evil black. Its not like he would have had time to repaint his armour, but wasnt there something in the novel about the Loyalists calling themselves Luna Wolves, or sratching the old symbol onto their pauldrons? That didn't cross my mind but it sounds good so we'll go with that ;) They did deface their armour from what I remember and they did take the name Lunar Wolves again, so I'll try and scratch out some of the symbols.
