I had a thought to use some antlers for my space wolf rune priest and I wonder where I could get some or would the dreadlords horns work from the dark elves line?

 

My other question is I would like to make a heavy flamer for my terminator wolf guard. But I don't want to use the one they give. I was looking at making it a 2h heavy flamer with fuel tanks on his back but my problem is I'm not to sure what to use as the weapon it self. I was looking at the flame storm cannon but not to sure the size next to the terminator itself and I also saw the flamer from the land speeder but not sure on that one.

Not sure what kind of horns you are looking for exactly but the only ones I see on the Dreadlords are the one on the Dragonrider. So as I already posted a link with the bit in question bits sellers might work for you.

If you are looking for more conventional horns Beastmen might be worth a look. If you know somebody who plays them they will probably have a head or two left over.

The Bretonian Knights have helmets with antlers that as well.

When you said antlers though I instantly thought of the Amber Wizard. It's a separate bit on the sprue so if you go for that you get a staff, some hands and the antlers. You could use the staff and head on your SW Rune Priest. If you swap the torso the body could probably be recycled for a Wolf Scout and the hands could be used for scouts in different poses too.

 

There is a Woodelf hero with antlers too, but there's probably not much else you could do with the model.

 

Last but not least: Making your own antlers. I'd use some wires twist them together, branch some off and once you have a shape that you are happy with just cover it with a little bit of woodglue or watered down miliput or something else to smooth down the surface.

A bit like making a tree the old school way.

 

 

About the Flamer:

No idea about the flame storm cannon, but have you considered adding a second grip the the hook thing over the barrels like the heavy flamer from the PA bits set and just have him hold the normal one with both hands?

You could still cut off the fuel tank and attach an IG one to the back of the termie.

Yea the dragonriders heads was what I was looking at. I didn't think about the heavy flamer from the PA guys. But I would still like to see a FSC next to a terminator.

The flamer in the PA set is more or less the same it just has a second grip so you can use them with plastic bolter holding arms. Mimics the way the CSM hold their Heavy Bolters.
