Dirrain
Ah okay. The Mortis pattern dreadnought refers to a dreadnought with 2 of the same guns on the left/right mounts. Regular chassis, fielded by unforgiven chapters. The rifleman is just a Mortis dread with BS4 TLACs. You'd need 6s to hit a flyer and it has no interceptor/skyfire rule. It's not going to do much to a heldrake. The Contemptor Mortis dread, is a totally different unit. It's a relic dread with crazy crazy rules, 3 weapons and an heavy 6 (!!) assault cannon as just one of it weapons options. It also coes with skyfire and interceptor rules if it doesn't move. One or two of these FW monsters is enough to down a heldrake in one turn. shortysl
360 degree field of fire? Did not know that. Max range is still only 20" though so maneuvering isn't completely useless, just harder to make effective. X~X with two autocannons You do know that this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/v/vehicle6thupdates.pdf Gives that dread Skyfire and Interceptor right? Now admittedly, Autocannons wont do a lot against the drake... Malus Trux
Have you tried fielding the Mortis with TLLCs? Assuming you can see the drake, its a much better prospect of straight out dead than with TLACs. Alternatively, why not field 2 if your opponent fields 2 Heldrakes? Focus on one then the other so It Will Not Die doesn't get a chance to be used.
