nurgling6688
Hey everyone this is just a quick test scheme I threw together for a possible Sons of Horus army. I just used a random marine I had lying around so please forgive the mold lines and improper armor MK. I went with a lighter color more akin to how they used to be depicted before FW started doing them. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/tylerrox6688/sonofhorus4_zps67542f6e.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/tylerrox6688/sonofhorus3_zpsc96bcbcb.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/tylerrox6688/sonsofhorus1_zpsfa03d546.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/tylerrox6688/sonofhorus2_zps49cfb2de.jpg Its slightly greener in person. Let me know what you think, I can't decide on these guys, Death Guard, Ultramarine or just not doing a pre-heresy army. batu
Man you have to do a Pre Heresy army !!!!!!! If these are the legions you are thinking about, I think you should go for Sons of Horus. The test mini looks absolutely magnificent, especially the battle damage. Hyaenidae
Astral Claws. Forget the Legions, the Tyrant demands your service. Please? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276272-sons-of-horus-test-scheme/#findComment-3384598 Share on other sites
geordie
Got to say that is wonderfully painted. The weathering/damage is excellently executed. I personally prefer the darker schemes from Collected Visions as opposed to either Forgeworld's or other GW publications but I'm sure this take would look epic too. As long as the weathering/damage is carried on throughout it will bring a nice balance to the pastel colour of the armour, with the black shoulder pads. I think it's also difficult to see whether the scheme really clicks unless you see it on a Legionary in mk2 or mk4 armour as daft as that sounds. I'd vote for the Sons of Horus as there's lots of conversion potential, your colour scheme will be fairly unique and stand out from Legions colours which are fairly standard and set. You've also got specialist squads like the Reavers which can add more variety to the army's colour palette if desired. For the XVIth!
