how to make - Dreadnoughts hand - with picture

Recommended Posts

OK, I've been away for almost a full year for multiple reason. and last thing i did on the B&C forum was to fail the librarium painting challenge... so I hope this tutorial will forgive my sins.

so this tutorial is about making a dreadnought hands. something that can wield weapon.

this is for a three fingers hand but you could use the same trick for a five finger hand.

so three rod the long one will be our finger and the small one the thumb.

I wanted large finger since it have only three of them.

when you have your finger bend them three times to form the knuckles

like this :

after we got the fingers we will do the hand

the plasticard part being the back hand and the green stuff being the palm.

using a rod carve the palm so that the shaft of a weapon fit in. then plug the finger to do the skeletal hand

and let the green stuff cure for 24 hours.

the next steps are the longer, I suggest you do one finger per days so you won't ruin the other one when you will be working.

using green stuff, bulk the finger so it no longer look like a skeletal hand smile.png

after your last finger has dry you are ready to make the gauntlet around that hand, for that I used plastic tubing but it could also being made with plasticard or even green stuff

this particular hand was done for a warmachine warjack but it would fit nicely at the end of a dreadnought arm (you might want to remove the DCCW though)

hope it'll help someone !
