Coopervisor
I've had a couple of games now with a test list I've been using. I've found jump pack destroyers + moritat with twin plasma pistols very good. As long as you're careful about positioning and knowing when to chain fire, when to assault, when to split off from the destroyers, etc. I'm not sure if it's worth expanding from 5 to 10 destroyers, I've already paid the steep jump pack tax, so it may be a good plan? I'm leaning towards a Angel's Wrath list, with assault squads as the troops. I currently have 2x 10 squads under construction and I'm considering a 3rd 10 man or expanding the existing squads to 15 men. The other option would be to have 2 assault squads and then a 15 man tactical squad + apothecary in a storm eagle, but I'm leaning away from this due to the various horror stories about assembling the Stormeagle kit and the associated cost. After using the Moritat's scout with the jump pack destroyers and having them in range first turn, I was wondering if it's worth paying for a Vigilator Centurion, giving him a jump pack and sticking with an assault squad to get it up there first thing as well? As I'm also planning on having a Praetor on jetbike with a jetbike command, the only other thing that can be taken in the Angel's Wrath list (minus flyers) are land speeders. I'm thinking 3 with havocs and multi meltas would be a good bet? Has anybody had any experience with them? Squadron or not? Pavel Araghast
You can have Angel's Wrath only if you include praetor in list. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276424-thoughts-on-heresy-units/#findComment-3387750 Share on other sites
Coopervisor
You can have Angel's Wrath only if you include praetor in list. That's right, I have a Praetor on Jetbike with Angel's Wrath, leading a command squad on jetbikes. The rest of the force so far consists of 2x 10 man assault squads, 5 man destroyer squad with jump packs led by a Moritat. I'm not sure on a 3rd HQ: Vigilator with jump pack to give an assault squad scout to get it up closer. Primus Medicae, with jump pack or jetbike to give FNP to either assault squad or command squad Chaplain (Warden as I'm BA), again with jump pack or jetbike to give fearless and hatred.
