HH Word Bearers army blog

Welcome Brothers! *fires bolter in the air like a madman*

ColdWinter here. Long time lurker and long time poster. I've been painting and converting models since Dawn of War Dark Crusade, but haven't played any games since 2010. I started my first army for HH on the Ultramarines which have grown but now are left to guard my vault of miniatures, now I have fallen from the Emperor's light to join Horus and spread the words of Chaos! So without further ado, here is my first WB marines and test mini!

C&C is greatly appreciated. Updates will probably be few and far between since I do make a habit of having to paint very slowly. I will post pics of unpainted miniatures later, but for now I have some preaching to do for chaos at the hobby store tongue.png .

This is a really cool conversion and the painting is really good. The only criticism I have, and it might be because of the photo, is that you need to perhaps try and separate the battle damage from the scrimshaw on the armour, especially on the shield.

Thanks mate I have to agree that the script should not be affected by the battle damage since it takes out the Word Bearers effect. I will hopefully post more miniatures soon since I have a Contemptor on the way and Mk II Assault marines on the assembly line so cheers :)

battle damage over the writing would make sense as he wrote it on his armor BEFORE the battle, thus damage taken during the battle would cover it up. However, colchesin (spelling?) was known to be written like cuniform. If you're going hardcore fluff on this project then their writing should be up and down, not left and right.
