Aqui
just a quick one peeps. does anyone know if, when stripping models that have flock on their bases what the outcome will be? will it stay on, become gakky or cause no real problems worth mentioning? cheers for any help.I suppose it depends on a few things: What kind of flock is used How it's glued to the base How long it's been glued to the base The minis I've been stripping are over 20 years old, and the flock was the kind used for model railways, glued with PVA. Stripping them with Fairy Power Spray resulted in it coming off very easily (as in I was able to wipe it all off with a single flick of my finger) I wish I'd take pictures of the ones with flock on before and after to illustrate, but baring the flock on yours being stuck down with something stronger than PVA, I can't see you having any problems Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276662-stripping-and-flock/#findComment-3391095 Share on other sites
Beachymike123
cheers aquilanus. yes, its just PVA, and the flock is just GW standard green flock, although some do have the sandy textured flock. its been on for about 6ish years, so hopefully should be ok from what you've said. nice one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276662-stripping-and-flock/#findComment-3391101 Share on other sites
