Rarurak
I had a question about squad formation with the wolf guard. I am using 4 in terminator armor with logan grimnar, and I have 3 wolf lord pack leaders in normal armor. So is the squad considered 7 or one group of 4 and one group of 3? Just trying to figure out my point system since one of the termniator's has a assualt cannon. Thanks for the clarification! Heimdall Skullcrusher
You could do it either way but I suggest you count them as one unit if you want to keep that assault cannon. Pack leaders are split off at deployment so from an army list perspective it remains one unit. Valerian
Other advantage of calling it a single unit is preserving an Elite slot. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276664-wolf-guard/#findComment-3391128 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
One of them has an assault cannon- so you have to be selecting them as part of the same unit. The thing about wolf guard... they dont officially join other units until the start of the battle, during deployment- thus, you can decide to join them or not as you wich each battle. Because of this, they all count towards the squads member cap, unit upgrades, etc- for the wolf guard unit only. In this case, towards heavy weapons. The downside is they dont count towards the unit they end up joining- for free specials on grey hunters, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276664-wolf-guard/#findComment-3391248 Share on other sites
