Sandviper
how would you go about converting Ravenwing Bikers to those of Nurgle? Painting their armor green yes but what about the symbols? And the bike scheme? any opinions are appreciated Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/276712-question-about-ravenwing/ Share on other sites
Durus
I imagine they would modify the bikes to spread contagious fumes and stuff like that. So i'd add some bigger exhaust pipes to the bikes (or just a 3rd one to get to Nurgle's number) and if you are going for the bloated DG look with your riders, you could connect their stomachs to the tanks of their bikes. Adding a nurgling crew holding onto the bike or censers would be good too.Other than that the usual, the three circles as dents/pustules/rust spots, you could drill out some screws and general signs of decay.Could probably build a SM version of Festus with the apothecary bits too.If the rest of your army is dedicated to Nurgle as well, go with your usual scheme for painting, if not look up some warbands dedicated to nurgle, maybe you find one that you like. Or go with the usual green with rusty trims. Always looks... rotten. Sandviper
So Nurgle Green with rust. Gotcha. I think im gonna green stuff all of the space marine sigils. That should also make them look bloated with the extra layer and whatnot. Very good suggestions btw. Is there a particular paint for rust or is that a mixture? Durus
I guess most people use a combination of several different brown and orange tones stippled onto the area in question. I can't give you specific names as i'm not familiar with GWs current paint line, but I'd use a darker reddish brown, a lighter more desatured brown and an orange to get the pattern. There are different methods though, some more involved than others. I'd have a look at methods that painters of military scale models use to get an idea. The simple three color approach will probably do if you only use it on the trims of your marines and bikes, though. Chaeron
I do rust using what is now Jokaero Orange - but naturally, that's a preference for it looking in that way. Plenty of tutorials available on it - but you'll want to find what suits you and is a look you're happy with.
