Yikes.. those would look great if 40K was based on a saturday morning cartoon show for kids under ten. Reminds me of Rob Liefeld's art work. http://ca.ign.com/blogs/marvelhasbestcomics/2012/08/09/the-worst-there-is-at-what-he-does-rob-liefeld/ I think people are better off with Skin Wolves from Forge World. Worth the money if you want to represent the wolves in a respectible way.

Just to clarify... there is a different between Wulfen and MOTW. Anyway nicely done SW1

Not sure why there's a difference? Mark of the Wulfen is where members of the pack give in to the inner beast and turn into Wulfen. From the original cannon/stories generally when a pack member feels themselves falling to the curse they throw themselves into the fight without hope of winning to take as many of the enemy with them as possible.

GWS have of late twisted this into something that can be turned on and off which is not truly cannon/fluffy. A bit like the poodle riding TWC, hard unit so popular but some how, wrong at a very basic level. verymad.gif

Actually Mark of the Wulfen was always about a member of the Rout starting to show signs of becoming a Wulfen. They were still able to control a ranged weapon and the bonus only came in close combat with some additional attacks. Actual Wulfen rules came into affect with Codex Eye of Terror which made the difference between Mark of the Wulfen in the old SW codex and Codex EoT stand out even more. Now with our 5th Edition codex we somewhat have a combination of the rules from 13th Co and the old SW codex.

LMAO! Thanks so much for that link. I completely lost it at #25.

And I fully agree about the skinwolves, though ultimately I'd prefer my MotW to just resembled berserking marines rather than transformed, half-naked werewolves.

*note that this last example is an actuall full state wulfen (as per codex eye of terror, a.k.a. you ain't getting more wulfen then this!)

That's exactly the direction that I've gone with my MotW models. In my view, they're just "Wolf-bitten" as the old William King novels describe certain Space Wolves. They're a little bit wilder and more feral than their pack-mates in battle, and probably have the Curse of the Wulfen just barely in check. These are the blokes that make it back to the Fang from their Test of Morkai by the skin of their teeth (pardon the intentional pun).

I prefer to leave the old Wulfen models from the Eye of Terror 13th Company model range for those poor souls who were fully overcome by the Curse and have been forever lost to it.

I use models with red chainswords to represent MotW. Matter of fact, I use red weapons for all my specials. (Plasma, melta, etc.)

One red chainsword in the middle of a pack of black bolter-bearing brothers stands out well enough that I have no issues with anyone accepting this at my LGS.
