Heresy era Night Lords

Someone is behind the news. Search for the Forge World Open 2013 on any of the 40k forums and you will find what you seek.

To quickly answer your question, they are getting the same treatment in the next book as the current 3 Legions. One special unit is a jumppack 'terror' squad.

The rumors actually said one is a terror squad and the early is "something like an early Raptors squad" and that the other three Legions are getting two special units as well and the other four that are already published get one new special unit, such as the Catulan Reavers for the Sons of Horus.

But to answer the question, yes there were pictures of Forgeworld made Night Lord Helmets as well as a possible Sevatar mini. The angle of the picture made it hard to see if it was a chainsword or a chainglaive. I'll try to find the blogs and pictures but if you don't mind looking yourself, I know they are somewhere within the Incoming Heresy Models thread, starting around page 7 or 8.

Ah ha! I found it. This is the blog post in question. note, it is a blog post so unless an official source(that doesn't hide behind anonymity) comes forward, I would recommend taking it with a pinch of salt.

What the hell is wrong with Sheng? Dude, he's the freakin' Huscarl of the Night. Lords. Primarch. AND he's still breathing. Let that soak in for a while.

The man has qualities that we have only seen glimpses of, and has the ear of Konrad himself. Is he a nightmare of chainglaive and sarcastic wit? Well, no. He seems to me to be the knife in the back you didn't expect until too late. You know the old saying, "it's the quiet ones you have to look out for." Plus, he's been noted for being murder with a bolter in his hand.

I'd put him in a heresy-era Night Lords army in half a heartbeat.

@Heathens - I agree brother that he's completely brutal and awesome yet I hope that sev is still done, I'd like a polentha of choices for lords and characters for all the legions. I'd like every character to be sculpted actually but I'm not sure if the good people at forgeworld are willing to allow it.

(I'd spend all my tupences on them)

But I didn't say there was anything wrong with him.... :,(

Sorry, man. Didn't mean to make that sound so harsh, totally unintentional. It just seems like everyone nowadays salivates over Sevetar or Talos (understandable, they are cool in their own way), when there are many other awesome characters amongst the VIII that could be explored during the Heresy era. Sheng, Malcharion, Krieg, Sahaal, even Tarraq Darkblood, have a lot of potential during this timeframe.

I'm a Baskins Robbins kind of guy. Why have only chocolate, when there's strawberry, tiramisu, raspberry, etc.

lol, It's alright. I wouldn't mind seeing some of those characters either, it's that when it comes to picking between Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers, I'lla pick Freddy every time. Not because I have anything against the other two, but because Freddy just seems more....... I know the word is not likeable and relatable makes it sound creepy. You probably know what I mean.

Well Sevatar happens to be the Freddy Krueger of the Night Lords. So I don't mind Baskin Robbins, it just so happens that Strawberry is my favorite.

@Kol: Also he doesn't have red gauntlets, so its not Sevatar. First thing I noticed as Sevatar had them before the heresy (I think).

I just figured it was a personal quirk. IIRC, when someone colored Greyall's drawing of Sevatar, they didn't color his gauntlets red, but rather colored in red skeletal imprints over the blue so unless you looked closely, you could mistake them for blue.

Didn't forgeworld say that they would eventually create models of all the characters in the books that they make rules for? So pretty much all of the top heroes in the novels will get that treatment.

Assuming those characters get rules. Forgeworld is still making characters who will have rules but no model as well IIRC.

I think a summary is needed because I sort of did look like a spoiled brat of sorts. I like the interpretations of the Night Lords as cold, merciless monsters that are very reminiscent of Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers. At the same time, they are also supposed to have a pleasure factor and so characters like Sevatar seem to strike that chord in my opinion. I'm not saying they are any truer than any other Night Lord characters. Just that they help bring out the full character by contributing a little bit to the greater whole. I guess I'm saying the Night Lords are more like Neopolitan than Baskin Robins. Same container, but a variety within that container.

The night lords squad is a conversion bu mark Bedford as dusk raider said.

It was announced at the weekender that sevatar will be done as will their 'speicial' squads, murder squad and the original raptors, also nighthaunter will be soonish although he's ment to be controversial
