For the life of me I CANNOT open this thing. 

 

I tried to snip the the tip and plunge a paperclip into it to clear the blockage. Could not pierce it, I felt like a Fearless unit trapped in combat with a Furioso Dreadnought.

 

I tried to twist the cap off with my hands, no avail. I tried to clamp on the pliers and twist the cap off. It wouldn't even budge, the container started to give before the seal. 

 

 

 

 

Is there something I am not doing right?

You didn't snip far down enough.  I take an old hobby knife and with the bottle on its side and NOT applying ANY pressure to the bottle while holding it still....make very small slices (basically shaving a slice at a time) until I can see where the hole is going to emerge.  Then I set the bottle upright and pierce where the hole is.....Done.

Actually after consulting customer service I had this problem and response:

 

"It sounds like you got bottles that had bad actuators that control the flow of the glue if you provide us with your full name and shipping address we will get you out replacements right away."

 

So at least they stand by their product!
