captain sox Posted June 22, 2013 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Hey folks, Here's a preliminary post getting opinions on something I'd lie to try. I don't like the regular jump packs in the Assault Squad box set, so I picked up some Sanguinary Guard packs (and torsos and wings). I'm trying to figure out what the best combo would be to build this squad of 10. I made a mock up of one marine, and I'll post it when I get home from work. The options are: Jump Pack only Jump Pack with wings Jump Pack no wings with Beakie Helmets Jump Pack with wings and Beakie helmets (actaully looks really cool). I'll post the pictures later, I just want to get a feel for what you all thought about adding the angel wings to an Assault Squad thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Phoebus Posted June 23, 2013 Share Posted June 23, 2013 No offense, but the wing and Mk VI helmet combo reminds me less of angels and more of the hawkmen from 'Flash Gordon'... Beyond that, it's obviously your money and your call, but I can't help but think that those wings are reserved for an elite few in that other chapter. Their Veterans don't get them, and neither do their vaunted Honour Guard. Given that our own Company Veterans supposedly eschew "bling", I don't know if it's fitting for battle-brothers of the line to roll around like that. Perhaps Veteran Sergeants of Assault Squads, or Inner Circle characters equipped with a jump pack, like Master Avoghai's, err... Master. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
