skeletoro
Hi, I recently bought some WnN colourless masking fluid, without realizing that it was colourless. It's a pain to use, because it's really hard to see where the mask has been applied! I'm wondering... 1) Could I just add a tiny bit of weathering powder (i.e. pigment) to the bottle so that it has a very faint hue? I don't really want to shell out for a pigmented masking fluid if I can just do it myself and save the money. 2) It's quite runny, and when I use it to mask details I'm having a few issues. For instance, when I mask the inside of a shoulder pad, the fluid pools a little and masks the inside surface of the shoulder pad rim. But I only want to mask the large rounded part of the shoulder pad (where pack markings, great company markings, etc go) NOT the side of the shoulder pad rim. So I'm wondering... could I thicken the masking fluid? Or have I simply bought the wrong masking fluid? Or perhaps I'm using it wrong? stinkenheim
I've used a vallejo latex masking fluid and found it really good. It's bright blue until it dries and quite thick so it doesn't spread to far from where you apply it. Sadly can't help you with the questions as I have no experience with the W&N product.
