Montuhotep
As it says, really - I'm thinking of doing a squad of Movie Marines using the old PDF 'lark-about' rules, just for a fun modelling project more than anything else. To add to the challenge, I'm going to do them True Scale as well, just to increase their movie credentials. Now, does anyone have any ideas/poses that I can shamelessly swipe? I need to build: Sergeant Hero-type (actually just a regular bolter boy in equipment terms) 6 Bolter-Boys 1 Missile Launcher (or maybe another heavy weapon just for something a little different). 1 Flamer or alternative. So, what ideas do people have for me? Loyalist Marine or Chaos? (I'm thinking World Eaters Legionnaires during the Great Crusade might be fun) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277472-movie-marines-ideas-needed/ Share on other sites
deathspectersgt7
nothing to add but looks like fun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277472-movie-marines-ideas-needed/#findComment-3403795 Share on other sites
Argun
Well, if ya want to steal this guy's pose... He's already true-scaled. (For some reason, people keep saying that Brother Infernus reminds them of Jesse Ventura for some reason. I think it's the mustache) Then again, if you're wanting more action-y... here's his sarge. Durus
Kind of had to think of the Dragonforge heads, because of the whole Movie Marines thing. (Wesley Snipes, John Amos and Obama if I'm not mistaken, so the last one is not really interesting in this context) But after a quick search I found this thread. Depending on which direction you want to take this, it might give you at least some inspiration for the squad as Movie Marines don't need helmets - they have plot armor. So we get to see their faces.I for one would love to see a squad consisting of Dutch Schaefer, Snake Plissken, John McClane and B.A. Baracus or something along those lines. maverike_prime
I would say check out movies like Rambo, Predator ad the like for inspiration on this one. The_Chaplain
As Maverike suggested, watch some action movies for ideas about poses. I would really recommend true-scaling your movie marines so they look the part of big, bulky, action star astartes. Good luck with the project! Kaedes Nex
A Battle-Brother with a Bolter or Bolt Pistol with a Combat Knife in the other hand is a must. Bonus points if the knife is held reverse grip.
