Blicket
I play a lot of RW lists and the bikes are great except for clearing out multi level ruins. Enter the Assault marines, jumping into combat with that annoying squad hiding in cover. I guess my question is are Dark Angels Assault marines worth it or is it worth paying the HQ tax for BA squads. Interrogator Stobz
Ours are nice and cheap now; I'd use ours because things hiding up in multi level buildings are not usually CC specialists Drop pod full of normal infantry (of various types) could also be useful in that role. Or a Deathwing squad DS's in close. So is Sammy if you want to stay 'pure' RW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277495-assault-marines-in-rw-list/#findComment-3404279 Share on other sites
march10k
I say go for it. Ten jumpers cost about the same as ten tactical marines once you get done adding wargear. They're not that expensive any more, so as long as you don't expect them to beat up a squadron of nob bikerz, they're a really good unit. facmanpob
If they are kitted out with 2 flamers and a combi-flamer to get rid of any pesky cover saves, then they could be quite effective as building clearance units Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277495-assault-marines-in-rw-list/#findComment-3405855 Share on other sites
