Friz 80
I see some people say we can take codex marine flyers as part of our force with out using allies and others who say we have to use allied flyers because we have none of our own? Which one is it ? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277638-quick-question-about-flyers/ Share on other sites
Grey Mage
The latter. FW gives us access to some, but its not the same thing as having our own in codex flyers. Some groups house ruled the stormraven as available to all marines, inquire at your LGS. Ghostwolfalpha
A bit off topic, but I have a follow up question. What does the generic stormraven have instead of bloodstrike missiles or psycannons? No one in my local meta plays vanilla marines and since the wolves don't get flyers, I haven't looked at the flyer supplement. I assume once the new dex comes out, they will be coming out of the woodwork. Baba Lem
Instead of Bloodstrikes it gets Whatstheirname Missiles, they're Str 8 AP 2 with Concussive. Regular weaponry remains the same. Ghostwolfalpha
Thanks, seems to pale in comparison to the Bloodstrike as concussive is only good vs MC's and high toughness units. Plus you need to charge them that assault phase. I guess it isn't that bad, there are a lot of big models out there now. pedrogzc
concussive missiles are great in conjunction with JOWL! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277638-quick-question-about-flyers/#findComment-3409142 Share on other sites
Sohail187
a bit off topic, but i did not want to start a new thread for a tiny question. Using razorbacks for your long fangs, would you take TW Lasc or las/plas combo? what do you guys tend to go for. SW1
Las-Plas is better as a weapon destroyed looses the lascannon or the twin-linked plasma guns not both. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277638-quick-question-about-flyers/#findComment-3409303 Share on other sites

Heimdall Skullcrusher
Depends what you are trying to do with it. If you are shooting at flyers (as you brought this up in a thread discussing flyers) the twin linked lascannon could help but still isn't really a solid AA platform.
