henrywalker
i was wondering how to go about modelling a human in power armour, they would have o be smaller than an astartes but i can see that being difficukt to make. any thoughts? Gentlemanloser
There are some old metal Inquisitors in Power Armour. I guess it depends on how many you want. Sister of battle might be your best shot for bulk. Deus de Mortalis
Honestly it makes no difference. Even though space marines are supposed to be a lot taller and more massive than normal humans in the fluff, on the tabletop this is definitely not the case. They are all the same size. Actually there are some normal humans that are bigger than space marines, and some space marines that are smaller than normal humans. Sanguis militis
It would look kinda silly if you made a powered armor model even smaller than the rest of your army, since he/she will also be smaller to even guard players you come across. I'd use imagination to pretend he/she is smaller Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277683-humans-in-power-armour/#findComment-3410611 Share on other sites
thade
Keep in mind that Inquisitors (if that's who we're talking about here?) are often not just wearing power armor; they get all sorts of mods and upgrades for their bodies. While they're not Space Marines, per se, they're also just barely human anymore in some cases. They have all sorts of cybernetics and vat-grown organs plugged into them (just not Space Marine ones...usually) making them larger. Also, their power armor isn't necessarily Astartes (often not, I'd say) and so it may simply be bulkier as it's a different make, or have more tech stuffed into it. Maybe they their power armor is rigged up to make them even stronger, or has enviromental systems for sustained void walks or underwater exploration or something. Old stuff is refurbed and used for very different things all the time in the Imperium, so it wouldn't be totally out of the question for some ancient diving suit to be repurposed as combat armor. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277683-humans-in-power-armour/#findComment-3410770 Share on other sites
