Alright I am a fairly new space wolves player I have started to build paint/repaint my army. I Have played small games and I am familiar with the rules and the fluff of the Wolves. My Goals:

I know it's talked about a lot and I know a lot of SW players want to build it but I wish to build a Complete 13th Company. But I have a few questions. How many are actually in the 13th Company? How many are Grey Slayers or Storm Claws? I understand you in the 13th there are Grey Slayers, Wolf Lords, Rune and Wolf priests, TWC, Storm Claws, Wolf Guard, Fenrisian Wolves and of course Wulfen. I alread know the color scheme I would like to use and I know to use a combination of SW and CSM bits(percentage of bits per model very depending on the builder) I also understand there are no vehicles as well. I love to read fluff especially since I am building this company I want more to read. I am looking for any and all suggestions on how to approach this or and friendly hints on what to do since i am still new. ty for taking your time. I look forward to well anything.

The original 13th Company led by Jorin Bloodfang was estimated to be about the size of a modern Chapter, so about 1,000 Marines. There is no estimate of attrition, however, from the interceding 10,000 years of fighting in the Eye of Terror.

Brother Ramses has a point, but the definition of a 13th Company has broadened over the years.  No longer a single entity, it is a designation for any Company encompassing the original (mentioned in the Ragnar Saga/Omnibus) a well as "any" Company lost to the warp or otherwise "out of touch/communication" with the Fang or Imperium.  Some feel it may include any Great Company that renounces its loyalty to the Great Wolf and goes on its way to fight for the Imperium but no longer under the command of Logan Grimnar.

I doubt very seriously that the original Company would be able to "recruit" new initiates.  Perhaps joining up with other Companies lost in the mysteries of the Warp is a possibility.  It is why they look as ramshackled as they do, they have become skilled skavengers in their time away from genuine support and so have to scrounge to replace/repair basic items like armor and weapons.  Just adding to their feral appearance as they do not have a "uniform" appearance any longer with such hodge-podging going on for 10,000 years.
