sn33r
Hello all. Just a quickie. If I drop in 8 Wg in a drop pod after they have deployed out on turn two do they all have to stick together or can I split them up into two teams of 4? Cheers rob Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277824-wolf-guard/ Share on other sites
Reede
As far as I know, wolves don't have the same ability as vanilla marines to split into combat squads, they work more in a pack so they stick together. The only other way I could see something like this is having two different squads in one drop pod, but I'm pretty sure that's not legal either. MeatGrinder
Wolf Guard are assigned to squads during deployment, if you chose to keep them in one squad in a pod, this happens at deployment too, so no they cannot split up. sn33r
The only reason I wanted to do it is because or super elites with the most battle experience can not split fire. I'm taking 8 in PA with combi plas in a drop pod. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277824-wolf-guard/#findComment-3409467 Share on other sites

Grey Mage
Then... if I were you... Id dot he following: Drop the Lone Wolf. Hes fun, but hes extra. Get two of the same special on your GHs, its a little more expensive to have two plasmaguns, but its worth it. Bump the first pack to 10 guys, drop your RP with one of the WG packs. Split the WG pack into two units and have each snag a DP. Get a DP for the one of the GHs, so you can bring in two pods turn one- probably both WG pods, but you have the option of bringing in Melta-hunters if you want. That would allow you to keep a full strength kick-ass scoring unit in reserves for a couple turns while you trim down the competition. sn33r
Thanks for your input.. I've had to take a melta off of one of the melta hunters to afford the other do. Shall I put both tda wc with the rune priest or just one and the other with the footsloggers.
