Long Fang / Devastator box set

Hey guys,

I opened up my first box of devastators tonight in hope i can get them together for this upcoming tau game i got. However after making all the models i noticed that there are so many bits left over. Heavy bolter, 2nd plasma cannon, 2nd las cannon. Any tips on what you guys do with these parts.

Now i have another 2 boxes of devastators and i now feel that this was a waste to purchase. Specially when i am more than likely going to be using more missile launchers than anything else. i guess if i was to purchase extra legs and chests, i can make all the heavy weapons and keep my options open.

I have currently magnetized the legs and chest so i can interchange weapons. However any other tips on what you guys would do with all these extra bits would be great.

Razor back turrents, beefing up tactical squads and just single marines to change up the main lists line up (eg, lascannon instead of plasma cannon this game etc.).

There are alot of spare parts but ive found ive used most of them.

Otherwise swing them my way, the seige list will thankyou ;)

It never seemed worthwhile to me to magnetize the heavy weapons guys.  Just combine those extra bits with some more tac squad/space wolf pack guys and you have more devastators.  But yeah, if you want missile launchers you need to find them elsewhere.  Try people that place regular space marines, you get one in every tac squad box.

Just wondering, why did you need to magnetize the legs and chest? Why not magnetize the arms? I must be missing something, but I haven't ever actually bought a plastic devastator box set so.. yeah.

Each one has a backpack the heavy weapon is attached to, itd be an absolute pain to magnetize them on the shoulders IMHO.

I have used mine for trading, selling,or just made additional LF's in case missile launches suddenly become suck...

I guarantee you it's easier to build a separate Heavy option on a model then it is to magnetize one. Unless that's your thing, I would avoid it...
