Scribe Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 Yeah, but even for the extra slot malisteen, unless you take one of the artifact builds, I dont see how 1 extra FA or HS would be worth it vs what a different ally would bring. I am using 4 HS in my last list though, but the concept revolves around the Dirge/Memory keeping the CSM alive for their charge. Primary - BL Sorc, Lvl 3 (Biomancyx2/Shriek if facing 2+ saves, or 3xBiomancy), Memory, Sigil, Familar, Termi, VotLW (forgot I had Vets here) 6 Chosen, 4 Plasma, LC, VotLW 10 CSM, VotLW, Flamer, Flamer, LC, Rhino, Dirge LR, Dirge Defiler Maulerfiend Ally - CSM Sorc (Shriek) 9 CSM, Flamer, LC, Rhino, Dirge 10 CSM, Melta, Melta, LC, Rhino, Dirge Maulerfiend Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scribe Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 Yeah, agree on the LR squad, its been more thought exercises than anything else so far, I havent had any time to get a game in. The naked Sorc with a squad of CSM doesnt seem that bad however. Main reason I kept looking at a Termi Sorcerer is the model I have for it I really like. These are not 'uber competitive' type lists, because I dont think you gain much from adding BL in that regard anyway. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevak Dal Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Yeah I just bought the new-hotness PA Finecast sorcerer today (...no mis casting, bubbles or such upon first inspection...) probably for an allied BL Supplement list but my main HQ is my Terminator armor sorcerer who is my character insert of my CSM army (Giselburtus; scholar, gentleman, "acquisition specialist", rampant sociopath) who I really like a lot, he has like a combi-staff (sort of like the Rangers from Babylon 5) with two mace heads from the defiler's flail thing on either end-because I don't think I'd be too good at using a Sword personally, and I play tested with an axe and didn't really care for it (Where's my Force Halberds/Spears for +1 initiative GW?!) I'm probably going to run a 8 man chosen squad (GASP!!!!) with power weapons (GASP!!!!!) though probably no axes because it's going to be slaanesh marked, the PA sorcerer being ml2 with mark of slaanesh as Giselburtus' understudy, though Giselburtus himself is unmarked. Mostly as an elite troop squad for backing up Giselburtus' squad of Khornate Terminators, and adding buffs from the slaanesh powers to units of opportunity (Giselburtus runs Biomancy) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
