ant7
Just curious if csm players do this. I am just starting to build my IW army and I have always wondered why csm only wear the ornate armor? I mean if you are a loyalist and you decide to turn, do you get a free suit of csm armor? Ammonius
Yes. "Kitbashing" is a widespread and excellent practice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/277999-mixing-csm-and-sm-bits/#findComment-3411453 Share on other sites
Teetengee
Although let's hope you get a free suit of ornate armor, because you give up your plasma cannons, drop pods, land speeders, storm shields..... Sorry, csm player rant. Of course you can and in fact I wholeheartedly encourage the mixing in of loyalist marine bits. You never know when battlefield r epairs will require the cannibalization of the enemy. skawolf
I freely mix chaos marine bits in with my Space wolves and blood angels (just nothing with chaos emblems, those get cut off or not used at all) and it looks really good. Also for my Alpha legion I use regular space marine helmets and nothing from chaos marines that is spikey as I dont feel like it belongs on the Alpha legionnaires.
