Telencephalon Posted February 16, 2014 Author Share Posted February 16, 2014 So, a minor update on Angron! Work is killing me at the moment so the time I have for painting is very sparse. I am afraid I'll never be able to go back to regular GW sculpts after having painted this FW beauty. The gold recipe is turning out as I had hoped, I apologize for the blurry pictures. Metallics are a pain to take pictures of since their reflective properties make everything look drybrushed if too much light is applied. I hope you can discern the details anyway. As usual, comments, ideas and constructive criticism is welcome! P.S. Does anyone know of a good guide for painting different skin tones? It doesn't necessarily have to be warhammer themed, but it has to contain some color theory. It's just a way of showing your fellow BA players/painters what you've been up to in case they don't actively follow your blog (or this forum for that matter). Unfortunately the lighting kills some the details and makes some parts look quite messy, I would argue it looks much smoother IRL. I hope you can offer some feedback, however! I am particularly looking for suggestions on the colour of his cloak. I'm currently considering a dark, regal red, which would marry well with the brass/gold armour.
