Demus Ragnok
So I have been thinking of doing a HH army, but a DIY. So what I have in mind is a force of the II Legion (shortly after their primarch was found) with a large allied Mechanicum force. Thoughts? Spinsanity
Well, the II and XI are of course always open, just make sure you manage to find a believable reason for them to have been disbanded like this... Why, when and how are 3 very important questions here. Were they loyalists or early rebels? Grotsmasha
Due to the taboo of such plans, may I suggest one alteration? That would be to go pre-Primarch. While this seems like a major game changer, the affect could be significantly negated by the right fluff. For example, you want your Primarch to display X qualities, instead have the Legion display X qualities, in the belief that they are their inheritance from their gene-father. Having said all of that, if you want to do your own Primarch, go for it, you could come up with something fairly neat. Do you have Betrayal yet? I'd start by choosing one of the four Primarchs there, maybe mix and match a special rule or two to create a unique play-style. Eitherway, I'm going to follow and see where you end up. Cheers, Jono Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278312-pondering-a-legionto-diy/#findComment-3418606 Share on other sites

Cheers, Jono I've yet to get Betrayal. I have thought of going pre-primarch but I also have some ideas about a primarch. So far what I have in mind is that the fluff will be from the point of view of a Terran veteran just as the first recruits from the primarchs home are joining the ranks.
