Hi B&C been away from the hobby for a year or so... started working on my scythes again....soon i found myself knee deep in purity seals and vengance for the foul enemies of the Emperor..lol

i love the storm talon model...it was a dream to assemble and paint i just need to detail it and put some chapter markings on it...well i need to do that to most of the army...lol

yeah..i really like the challenge painting them presents..i have blood angels too and they make great allies! i love the story of the scythes about them and the nids...its the underdog theme!

I think that your army looks really good judging by the pictures so far.  I would really like to see even more pictures of each unit and vehicle up close and personal.  Every character and transport taken in glorious daylight and uploaded to your gallery.  I know its asking a lot but it's not every day we get a Lamenters army posted.  What do you say?

yeah i'll work on it. thanks. i just finished part of an assault squad and im painting a landspeeder storm and a scout squad to go with it...i have two rhinos to paint too. and alot of detail work...btw they arent lamenters..they are scythes of the Emperor..lol

These look suitably beaten up!! Nice, strong yellow too. Are the predator sposons based of the stormraven? That is a good idea and will make them nice and solid.

Always good to see some Scythes!

The new codex coming out strongly tempts me to start a small SotE task force.

 

I'd love to see some unit by unit photos, preferably in good natural light. Take you time and get some good photos to really do your modelling and brushwork justice. :)

This is one of those chapters that I always liked the look of their paint scheme, until I tried it out one time and realized painting an entire army like this would drive me nuts. I'm glad to see someone else could do it.

I think Scythes should get some kind of anti-tyranid trait in the new dex...honestly i just hope the get more attention than a tiny pic with their chapter colors on them...i really like my blood angels and my grey knights but my scythes are my favorites....lol...when i go to tournaments or other events and i show up with my bumble bee marines with a few choice allies...its funny to see people really underestimate them...lol

yeah you guys obviously are right...after seeing the slayer sword winner from the german games day i bought a tyranid army off Ebay..so hopefully it will have some good bugs to chop up!
