Drunes
Hi all ! After I found Imperial Armor Volume 9 and 10, I totally felt in love with some of the chapters involved, Minotaurs, Carcharodons, Lamenters, Executioners and Astral Claws. So I decided to built my first army (I've been modelling for a while, but I never played (once or twice maxi), and I never had the patience to start and finish a project), a composite force of Minotaurs and Carcharodons. In the process I got distracted by the creation of some executioners, Lamenters and others (maybe some raptors, the YAK really inspired me with his amazing models). So enough talking, Here is what I finished so far, though I must warn you i'm the slowest painter on earth maybe ^^ Tactical Squad Arkhantos : Sarg Arkhentos : An assault Marine : Assault Veterans, lead by Sarg Achilles, The Myrmidons : Sarg Achilles : And a part of his Squad : Kratos, pair of Lightning claws : I know the Verdigris effect is a bit strange on the Minotaurs, too bright, i'm working on it, but I have to say i like the final aspect eaven if it doesn't look so much like verdigris. Comments and Criticisms Welcomed !
Drunes
Some others Myrmidons : The thunder hammer Guy : A regular guy : Ajax, former Myrmidon, now Sarg for a tactical squad : Cheers !

jeremy1391
Very cool. All your minis have a lot of personality and each one appears to have a story.
appiah4
Give Kratos a backpack please.. Aside from that, it's thematically a very nice execution.

BLOODSAINT
Really liking the motion on these guys. I actually said OOOoooo out loud when looking at a few of them. Great colors and very well done. Kind of shiny though. My only critique. + YOU WILL MAKE MORE +
appiah4
Looking through them again, some things about the painting looks lacking and I thought I'd try to point out a few improvements: First, lack of colors is really pulling them down somewhat. This is most evident on the bases - they are all different kinds of black and could really use some color (grey/brown rocks, vegetation, etc). You have great saturation, but you also need a little brightness. Especially the metallics are all the darkest shade possible, probably heavily washed - they need some highlights badly. Ditto for the black armor - the armor needs definition, which is badly lacking due to minimal/no highlights. My favorite among them is Achilles, and that's because the focus on his face solves a lot of these problems, it breaks the black, it provides some brightness to the model, and it has some real definition. Take that as your target and yardstick, I'm sure you can surpass that. As I said, the easiest improvements will be the bases and some highlights. The modeling is really nice though, keep it up. Drunes
Thanks for the great analysis, i know my weak point is painting, i've always prefered modelling, and have sooooo many unpainted minis, but next time i paint i'll try to improve following your advices ! See you on the next episode

My only critique. + YOU WILL MAKE MORE + Yeah the shiny effect is because of varnish, protecting purpose, but i should have used a non brilliant one, specially for skin, fur and cloak, won't do that mistake again !
