Clewz
Don't know if I've just missed this bit but how does Fabius Bile get off the iron Hands vessel? Augustus
He backtracks out of there...somehow. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278348-angel-exterminatus-am-i-missing-something/#findComment-3419680 Share on other sites
Conn Eremon
Medicine, man. I ain't gotta explain nothin'. Man, that phrase really loses its punch when editing out the foul language. Anyway, he does act like he is retreating or falling back after getting the Salamander's gene-seed. It doesn't show it happen, though. Kol Saresk
Yeah, its one of those evil, diabolical, insidious, malevolent, dastardly, I'm-running-out-of-adjectives scenes where you see the before an,d after, but no during. Conn Eremon
It is unfortunate, and a bit lazy. We're already aware the Doc survives, so they feel that they don't have to show it. We're fully aware it happens. But when that's the case, it stops being a "Is he going to survive this!?" situation and becomes a "How is he going to survive this!?" situation. You don't need to skip to the end and show us he's alive. We're already aware he does. We want to know how he survives it. Speaking of which, I liked Lucius and the Raven Guard. He keeps being shown as extremely arrogant and skilled, superior to all others, with the incident with Loken being a rare exception. But 40k fluff has him dying quite a bit. Each face on his armor is someone who killed him and became him. And there's a lot of faces. He gets beaten, so it was nice to see what it takes to do so. Kol Saresk
Yeah, he isn't peerless. He just survives his peers. Although it is interesting that the first resurrection that we see is so radically different from the ones we know. Then again, considering the Raven Guard saw it as nothing more than putting down a rabid animal might have had something to so with it. Wade Garrett
Which really didn't make a lot of sense, considering that Sharrowkyn specifically hunted Lucius down on the battlefield and gave his little "My name is Sharrowkyn. You tried to kill my father. Prepare to die." speech. Lucius's resurrection "just because" after that...well, between Cyrene, Eidolon, Lucius and Torgaddon it seems nobody on the traitor side can stay dead. Conn Eremon
Yes. Interestingly, later Warpsmith Honsou might be derived from it, going off the scratched off portions. HONorable SOUlakis. Although IIRC, wasn't Honsou a mixture of Soulaka's gene-seed with the Imperial Fist that Bile was experimenting on? Conn Eremon
I was being self-deprecating. My mistake should have been obvious to myself. And potentially.
