Fedorarogue
After reading the Blood Angels codex I am seeing that nearly all our units that have options for power weaponry are all for the power sword. Is there a reason for that or just an omission that I can work with to say give my Sanguinary Priest a power axe? moric
In the Faq for our codex it states on the ammendments section "Var - Power swords In the bestiary and army list, replace all references to "power sword" with "power weapon" " Hope this helps :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278405-blood-angels-and-power-weapons/#findComment-3421708 Share on other sites
Jolemai
To add to Moric's reply, you then use the rules for what power weapon you see before you. So if your Priest is armed with a Sword, it's a Power Sword and so on. The same also applies for Glaive Encarmines and Force Weapons. Note that the named characters have the weapon they are sold with. So Mephiston can not have a Force Stave, Dante can not have a Power Lance, Sanguinor can not have a Axe Encarmine, etc, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278405-blood-angels-and-power-weapons/#findComment-3421719 Share on other sites
Fedorarogue
Thank you all for the info. I was a bit puzzled because I had seen lots of Sanguinary Priests with Power axes and wasn't sure if it was just people having weapons stand in for others or something like that. Xenith
Always check the FAQ's for anything that seems odd in the codex. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278405-blood-angels-and-power-weapons/#findComment-3422082 Share on other sites

The FAQ specifies what kind of power weapons each special character is armed with: Replace the entry with the “The Axe Mortalis is a power axe with the Master-crafted special rule.” Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278405-blood-angels-and-power-weapons/#findComment-3422273 Share on other sites
