In the Emperor's name, what manner of beast could create such heresy! The taint has spread too far, in Terra's holy name we must make sure it spreads no more.

Anaziel, mah loyal battul bruvah, forgive me, but we are overrun.

Train macro cannons on my coordinates. In His name... fire the lockhammer.

You will now refer to him as your sexual liege.

Youre welcome

I . . . I can't believe. . . I actually spent the time to read some of that.  Most of that.  It was the figurative train wreck that I just couldn't tear my eyes away from.

I didn't read all the posts so forgive me if anybody has mentioned it already..In Brotherhood of the Storm  Malcador states

‘You brothers – such a nest of rivalries. I warned him to make you sisters, that it would make things more civilized. He thought I was joking. I wasn't.’

The "lost" Legions were led by female primsrchs and continue to serve along with their respective female Space Marine Legions in the Imperial kitchen.

The No-Mayo BLT Atrocity. Never forget.

Must... Not... Joke about... The... Red... Rage...

fine I will.

Sanginunius's Great Red Period and Blood Angels have huge amounts of carnal hunger.

Oh my God what have I done.

On a serious note, a female Primarch...

It's hard to see savagery and conquest. I know there are prominent figures in history, but it's more diplomatic. Zealotry is covered by the Sisters.

I'm not trying to offend, but for me to imagine women in times of war makes me think of murder, very Assassinorun-like. Prowess in battle, no. But as a symbol, yes.

That explains that. And why I don't like Fulgrim all that much.EDIT: I tried. I can't imagine a downside to a Fem Curtzy. Try as I might, I can only see upsides and they aren't exactly BnC legal.

It's a twelve foot tall killing machine that will flay you, your family, your pets, your neighbors, your co workers, and everyone you spoke to this week with its bare hands because the voices in its head say that's a good idea.

Adding boobies does not make this any better.

adding boobies makes everything better, you heretic :p

I also feel that the Walking Dead has some really strong individual female characters

But Prinarchs have the most kickass deaths or endings.

I can't imagine Lori*cough*Lorgar executed by his own kids.

God I got this awful cold.

I could honestly see any of the Primarchs as female, perhaps some more than others, although in a realistic sense Perturabo (Perturaba?) being female might make the most sense. The reason no one wanted to fight beside him (her) was sexism, hence the siege duty. On the other hand the it would seem disingenuous to the cultural roots of Fenris (cough vikings) if Russ had been female, unlesss he was made into a valkyrie. However, changing the gender of any of the Primarchs at this point would make no sense (ok maybe Fulgrim could get away with it) because as far as I know , none of them have a huge desire to change gender, and the technology is probably heresy/ really hard to come by.

Perturabo makes the most sense as a female because of sexism? How does that work? Sorry Perturabella, you're a girl. Girls don't belong in combat like the rest of us boys. Why don't you go spend the next two hundred years nonstop in the most back-breaking, mind-numbing, horror-filled aspects war has to offer humanity? Yep, right next to the kitchen.

Sexism in the sense that (s)he is never expected to do any "real" fighting as it is seen by the others. Perturabo knows what he does is important but the others just see him as weak and second class, much like women have been treated throughout history.
