imustbedreamin
Hi Guys, 38yr old newbie (well im a returning hobbyist actually) who really should know better saying Hello. Bought the DV box set.....got the DA Codex and now find myself slightly infatuated with the unforgiven. Anyhow, started painting and things are going well....im rather chuffed with my efforts and would like to try airbrushing. I've tried to do some research and this seems to be an ok deal.....gravity fed dual action brush (ok not the best but its a start) and compressor with a tank. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ASK186-30-ON-DEMAND-PISTON-COMPRESSOR-KIT-WITH-3-LITRE-RESERVE-TANK-UK-SUPPLIER-/190885120125?pt=UK_Crafts_DrawingSupplies_EH&hash=item2c71a3c87d can any of your more experienced folk see a big error in me hitting the buy it now button. Huge thanks in advance and sorry for posting newb questions Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278413-dull-newbie-airbrush-qs/ Share on other sites
p34ce
Regulator, moisture trap, 3L tank... sounds good to me.These compressors are often the same as what you could get for 2-5x the cost, I say go for it. You can always get a better brush later if you need to. A good Badger, Paasch or Iwata will cost around £100, but won't be that much better than the one in that deal. The biggest upside to better brushes is the access to spare parts, the warranties, and the build quality.
