If it was from the warlord trait then that can only affect infantry models. I don't think it would have made a difference since they did not make a move until the second turn. They could have reached the same position with the turbo boost and would have actually had a better save overall since the two characters had blight grenades. I made a ton of FNP and IWND saves with that unit.
