Iagn Thunderclaw Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 If I have long fangs in elevated area terrain (ruin building) and I am shooting at a soul grinder in base contact with an ADL does the SG benefit from the 4+ Cover save as I can see all but the bottom 1.5 inches of his front legs? Axagoras Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 unless vehicles have a special rule saying they get a base coversave they will always need 25% cover to get a save, which is why a soulgrinder should have his legs posed so he sits low to the ground. From elevation, all you DONT see is 1.5 inches of SG front legs. You can see 100 % of the rest of the model. So should the elevation of the unit mean that you can see over 75% of the Soul Grinder, then it won't get a cover save, regardless of how much the AGL would cover from ground level. If you can still see only 75% or less of the Soul Grinder, even with elevation, then it will not get the cover save. So yes, elevation does count.
