WG Capt. Iagn Thunderclaw
If a Daemon Prince with a 4+ FNP is wounded by a TH fails its 5++ but passes its FNP roll, does it still suffer the effects of the TH Concussive Blow? My opponent swore that it did, and cited some other ability of some IC that I cant remember that also has a FNP that still counts as a wound. Quixus
No: A model that suffers one or more unsaved Wounds from a weapon with this special rule is reduced to Initiative I until the end of the following Assault phase. When a model with this special rule suffers an unsaved Wound, it can make a special Feel No Pain roll to avoid being wounded (this is not a saving throw). Roll a D6 each time an unsaved Wound is suffered. On a 4 or less, you must take the Wound as normal. On a 5+, the unsaved Wound is discounted - treat it as having been saved. So while making an FNP roll still causes a wound, the targeted model is treated as is treated as if it made its save. If a model makes its save it does not suffer a wound, and as such the effect of Concussive does not manifest. As quoted above FNP does not provide a 5++ save It merely provides another roll that lets the model ignore the wound.
