How happy would you be if they reexplained the final battle?

Well we all know the public version of how the fight went on Horus's barge.

Sanguinius poked a hole in Horus's armour, Got smoted [i just wanted to use that word thanks.gif ]

Emp poked his blade in Sanguinius's hole, for a last gasp win ermm.gif

How happy would everyone be with them explaining every slash, cut, detail.

How would you you explain it, or would you?

Now how would you feel if the story was rewritten?

Sanguinius lost himself to his flaw, curb stomped Horus, Well apparently only Angron was his only equal. In the grip of the thirst, Sangy got caught by the Emp, while he was sucking Horus's blood.

Suffering from the rage he attacks the Emp. Busts his armour open. Puts the slaughter on the Emp. Emp chops the angels head off.

Olly sticks the Emp in the back with the fulgarite. blah blah

Would you like them to go into detail about the most pivital moment in the 30k universe

Nope. Dorn can hear the cries of rage, anguish and pain resonate down the corridors, twisted by the nightmarish landscape to distort its source, in his maddened desperation to reach the fight. He does, but too late.

I must admit I'd be happier if the Emperor vs Horus fight had none of that "Can't bring myself to hurt my son" shenanigans. Much as I'm a power-level freak and like the fact that the Emperor is more powerful than even a Chaos-juiced up-Horus, I can't see the Emperor - who so far has proven to be pretty much stone-cold - suddendly go into 'Papa mode'. Unless Horus throws all his mistakes at his father's face and, even then, the Emp would probably just laugh and say 'Those darnest kids' and proceed to kung fu the Warmaster.

So make it an all-out fight. Better yet, make it so that the Emperor is still more powerful but Horus, with a masterful move of fighting brilliance, manages to get the upper hand and performs open-face mace surgery on his dad.

Everything else is fine, I'm particularly curious to see if Doombreed and the other greater daemon will be at Horus' side and how the Emperor disposes of them.

I am hoping that a) this fight is a long time away and b] when it does come down they don't take the shortcut and hold most of it in metaphorical warp scenes while claiming the mental fight was more orchestra-worthy.

I am more looking forward to the incumbent episode of Will It Blend? Ingredients one Ollanius Pious, one lasrifle and one lensflared whirlwind of man-tear tragedy. What comes out of this two minute cycle should be one measure of chink in the Serpent's Scales wink.png

No but I am expecting them to play games with the source of Horus' chink.

To be honest, I look forward to the build up, but when it happens, I want it to be one of those things that we only see from the sidelines. You know, we see the Emperor board Horus' ship. See Sanguinius' death cry drive the Blood Angels mad and then hear the psychic echo of Horus' death and watch as it breaks the moral of the Traitors. I don't actually want to see the fight. Leave it so the legends can grow and each side, each person, can have their own view of what happened.

TBH I don't think anyone could top the existing story which, although subject to a couple of tweaks as time's gone by, seems to be a defining piece of short fiction in 40k.

Sang v Horus however warrants some fleshing outno.gif

The emps knows doombreed's name, which gives him power over the daemon.

He gives khorne's most badarse daemon the middle finger and says go ride a horse.

I want to see some pov of doombreed since they are in the himalya area (the current place of the palace) and have some of his memories of conquering asia 30k years earlier as a human.

I thought Doombreed's identity was speculation, supported by the fluff but not confirmed?

I think youre right but we will have to see.

his character is interesting because i think he served as kinda a cool headed Khârn to khorne. which is odd because being that close to khorne would make you just want to go bananas crazy and stabby i would assume.

If Warhammer 40k's past is an exact duplicate of ours (which is incredibly iffy, as that would mean Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle would already be among us), then Doombreed's mortal history sounds remarkably like Genghis Khan. However, it has never been confirmed.

Besides, everyone knows Genghis Khan would make a better Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided than Lorgar ever could.

But I thought Doombreed was Khorne? I'm so confused sad.png

You also can't spark off the plague that births Nurgle and not get his attention.

Or have such a massive harem and uhm, "free love" thing going that what, 6%? of the world's population are directly descended from you and not pique Slaanesh's interest.

Or have such a hard-on for not only your own people's occult practices but of everyone's you meet, mish-mashing them together into a convoluted whole without getting Tzeentch involved.

I think the final battle was fine in visions of heresy, I don't really want a blow by blow Account :/

If Horus exterminated terra he still wouldn't be emperor, people accept terra as the home world as the species origin. You would need it in one piece to have people accept your rule

I want to see it, but in a way of metaphysics, of the soul. The cut and slash, and parry type junk, I dont need that. Give me whats inside their heads. I want to know why, I want to get a justification, I want to see anguish, and sorrow, and pity.

I want to weep.

I want to see the "The Emperor could totally have killed Horus, with like, a snap of his fingers, but he just LET himself get Lightning Clawed to death because he's a sentimental old fellow" theory taken out behind the barn, shot, set on fire, and its charred fragments urinated on.
