I've decided (partly due to lack of funds, partly due to lack of time, mostly due to wanting to paint marines different colours ;p ) to paint one of each of the founding legions, using the Index Astartes colour plates for reference. nurglespuss Posted September 1, 2013 Author Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hi Guys, Well, I decided to use the classic (and static ;p ) space marine sergeant from the 2nd ed big box. Minimal conversion, just the harness instead of the aquilla, fur pelt, talisman, helmet and chain blade to the bold pistol. FerociousBeast Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Hmm, not sure about that one. What's with the gold skull cap? I like your freehand, particularly the shoulder pad. If you want to spruce up the black a bit more, try adding some red trim, especially a line down the middle of the helmet. (A beakie helmet.) I decided to give him an axe, as for the life of me I couldn't find/make a decent looking scimitar or tulwar, and liked that haft. I've only ever painted apothecaries white! So this'll be fun! (I event bought some Tamiya super fine white spray!).
