Well, I intend to make space marine scale: Emperor, Malcador and Head of Custodian Guard (with options on Chief Navigator and Astropath - but don't want it to look too cluttered). The representations for the missing legions, I know exactly what I'm doing for those, and they will appear soon For now, here is the latest pic of Rogal Dorn, as a note I was inspired by this fan artwork, and wanted an almost 'comic book' style of model, to go with the older style of painting for the marines. It was a challenge, as the base abaddon model was extremely beat up! His back is adorned with 2 items, his personal teleport translocator - that allows him to personally coordinate teleportation strikes by Fist terminators and, the Shield Aquilla - essentially a micro void shield generator that prevents Dorn from all but the most serious teleportation mishap). nurglespuss Posted October 1, 2013 Author Share Posted October 1, 2013 Well, I wanted an 'Emperor' for my diorama, I um'd and Ah'd and decided to keep the 2nd ed theme going, using an old grey knight, with minimal conversion, but traditional armament, I'm not expecting huge kudos, but I do think its a simple, neat conversion that will paint up well :) - and as the Emperor (and seemingly the primarchs) can pretty much 'appear' to be any size they wish (in the Heresy novels) I don't mind him being small! I'm never that confident with metallics, its a yellow gold, but I think it works, now I just have to decide how to paint the rest of him! I don't have the skills to paint convincing flame (never really tried it before), but, its passable for my little display.  I like the sword through book iconography, and envisage it representing the Emperor destroying old Superstition and Belief in replace of the Imperial Truth....  Next step...
