Seahawk Posted August 25, 2013 Share Posted August 25, 2013 For a long time, I've been wanting a platform base for my Hydra so that I could use the cheaper, more awesome version from FW in my games. However, I never had a platform to stick it on, only the chimera hull. Staring vaguely in a direction in my apartment, I noticed the size and shape of a food container recently acquired from KFC. I noticed it would be perfect for my purposes, and really, any similar weapon platform that exists. Also, any size tupperware will also work just fine as well. I do think the base could be improved with an Aquila or two and some cabling, a bit of plasticard for a door, etc, but it's simple and effective. Pretty much the first thing I did this week having decided to start a new WH40k project for the first time in 20 years was find a shoe box and start filling it with random junk from our recycling bin. Back in the 1980s that's how we made all our scenery, there were no Aegis Defence Lines and so on to buy then!
