Apoc Game was Glorious, pics added 8/26

I'm getting together with some mates for a large Apoc game. I know a friend will be bringing IG so I split my 3000 points in two. One is some WG and GH in two drop pods. The rest is LF, BC with WP, and GH to hold the line. Should be fun. Here is my list.

Good luck brother and may all glory go to Russ and the allfather, but watch out if you are going to be playing the exterminatus game type, this game type you will loose a lot of good wolves from just the game rules, unless they have a invulnerable save, but still good luck and hopefully the wolves will come out victorious.

have fun! i'm to lazy to dig up my copy of the apocalypse rulebook but i think that if you field more grey hunter packs you could actually field the great company formation!

 Yeah I only had 3000 points to play with and focused more on support as there was alot of supper heavies. There was 3 bainblade variants on each side and a tesseract ark. The sons of Russ had a great showing but I was not able to get a LW into close combat with a supperheavy and no titans were fielded.... :(

Ah, sorry you did not get to fulfill your vow brother. What was the end result? Looked like a pretty fun game, and some great looking armies all around.

The result was Awesomeness. We got 2 rounds in due to the new rules, took awhile figuring them out and a lot of the players were new to Apoc and 40k so it was really fun.Everyone was really laid back having a good time. It was weird being the Old Head of the group with a fully painted army. In the end we played the Exterminus mission which was so fun and the Imperials came out on top. I didn't have any super heavys to field as my Stormbird just wasn't ready. Though Odean one eye did hold the fort and survived untouched for the whole game. My Thunder wolves had the most fun killing Dark eldar left and right once their transports were popped. My ILGS is going to do an Apoc match every two months after the wrap up of their map campaign.

glad you enjoyed your apocalypse game! i found them to be absolute fun if you manage to keep the rithm going! how long did your turns take? a set time limit? in a recent game of mine we decided on 1hour/turn, however we soon found out my imperial guard artillery needed much more time to resolve all of the shooting going on!
