Alternative miniatures

I'm sure I've seen similar topic, but cannot find it...

So, what alternative models do you know and use in your Daemons army?

Here is my list:

Forge World Gargantuan Keeper of Secrets

Forge World Gargantuan Bloodthirster

Daemonettes

And I would really like to see some alternative models for Bloodthirster, Bloodletters, Furies and Flesh Hounds.

Wow. Never seen those before. Very, very interesting.

If someone would have described the cubes of tzeentch idea I wouldn´t have seen it working.

However, the idea is awesome and it just feels right for tzeentch.

It´s just so very, very weird :D.

I found a lot of WFB chaos warhounds for cheap! I think they would do great as a stand in for flesh hounds, and can be found on ebay for $2 a model.

I have about 80 of them since I'm also collecting Warriors of Chaos FB army, but they are just dogs, good enough for a proxy but nowhere near being daemonic.

I very seriously cannot see the reason why you would say that. If they are painted brown and other earthtones, they look like wolves with horns, spikes, extra mouths, scales, scorpion tails, and giant teeth. That's.. even daemonic enough to float my boat. I'm going to paint them red with green eyes and accent the mutations, which will certainly make them look more the part.

Possibly the notion that lizards or other such fleshy or bald models fit the part better could lead to your opinion, but I think the hounds are most certainly daemonic enough to do the job.

Just got my Puppetswar hounds and I'm hugely impressed!

I've got mine today too. They are really really good, way better than GW warhounds. I do however think that sculptor spent too much time on genitals, which Khornate daemons should not need.

Well, they are the stuff borne of nightmares. Just because they might not literally need genitalia doesn't mean that mortals don't find it disturbing to see ;)

Here's a quick comparison shot. He's actually about the same size as Karanak, not counting the crests.

(Sorry, don't own any current edition Flesh Hounds to compare him to.)
