Wolves VS Nurgle - The Hungarian Heresy

Hi to all.

Two years ago I had no idea what the hell wargaming is. Also had no idea what Warhammer, 40k, any of this is... Now I'm obsessessed and painting in my free time all the time.

In this topic I'd like to present to you my VIP armies of Space Wolves (kinda like 13th company, but with dreads and armour) and Nurgle. And I'm hungarian, thus the lame title of the topic.

So, without further ado, I present to you my just finished first ever 40k figure (in fact it is my first ever finished Warhammer figure, period), a Space Wolf attacking.

this is an obviously VIP shot of Sven the Screamer, the most psychopatic dread of all dreads in the W40k universe, screaming non-stop during battle (and also during having a meal, reading a book, etc.) Since he goes on everyone's nerves, his fellow wolves tried to kill him on several occasions, without luck so far. He is also the smelliest drear in all of W40k, having never left the metal body of the machine (imagine that: 800 years of stink!) He has his face immortalized as a sort of relief on the front of the dread, for his fellow wolves to throw :cuss at.

Ummm this is a family friendly board dude

You are absolutely right. (meanwhile I'm smililng politely and reading the title of the forum "The bolter and chainsword" :) )

If the nurgle's cock is really a problem, mods, please, take him down, by all means, I won't mind.

I like the wolves, especially since you've gone with the darker '30k' scheme. The blood and face tat' look great (I really dig the contrast between the blood and the red armour marking!)

On the other hand, I think you should pull the other picture down...

As seen on the board rules (see http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/22-rules-of-the-bc/?p=977938 ), there are restrictions as to what can and cannot be discussed / shown here :

Some restrictions:

  • No trolling
  • No flaming
  • No chat or "leet" speak
  • No obscenity/pornography
Breaking the rules and then asking a mod to take care of your post when asked to is not a good way of making a great first impression, I think msn-wink.gif

You are right, I took it down, altough this will make my "job" significantly more difficult, since I'm planning a HR Giger-style Nurgle army. smile.png

Judicious application of black censor panels may be appropriate.

Nice painting, and I like the background for the dread, the constant mania.

I didn't see the original but Dick-Wolves may be more appropriate for DakkaDakka :p

Right. The Bolter and Chainsword is a family friendly forum. It also has rules that can be found here

Feel free to post your work to receive feedback and discuss techniques. Please do so within the letter and the spirit of said forum rules. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask me or the other PCA mods.

YEEESSSS. The Posse of Pus is how I imagine Nurgle's warriors to be like.

Kinda sad my brother wolves seem to have fallen to Chaos, though. Bring forth the holy ale-powered flamer! tongue.png

thanks, Posse of Puss will soon be having new, moist members (hopefully that is not an euphemism)

as for the wolves being infected by chaos... they are scandinavian. They can take it.

jawdrop.gif I love the Plague Marines. Need to do more of them pretty please.

More pictures are coming soon, it's just that I'M waiting for my crappy/cheap lightbox to arrive I've ordered from ebay. :)

The nurgle marines are wicked. not sure if you knew but, since your new to the game and hobby I wanted to point out that there is a tyranid character with the same title "Old One Eye". Not saying he shouldn't be called that just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Oops! Thanks for the heads up! :) Yes, obviously, from now on the old space wolf guy's name is NOT Old One Eye... :)

the lightbox has finally arrived, so I've shot a couple of new pics of the minis above and a few new ones: there is a new plague marine in the posse and three new plague zombies I will use with Typhus (for him I'll use a sensational figure by Scibor Miniatures, but more about that in the upcoming weeks...)

Very lovely Plague Marines. How did you get the blood strands effect? Is it blood strands all over them?

Well... blood and puss. or slime. or something like that. :) I used the old UHU trick, by that I mean I used UHU glue mixed with Tamiya Clear Yellow or Tamiya Clear Red, carefully applied with a toothpick.
