Saturnine terminator armor

I'm saying that his vision of what Saturnine should be is the best I've seen, yes. I don't know what to tell you, but for everyone one Rembrandt known there are 1000 Van Goghs that never see success. I'm not saying Greyall is a Rembrandt or Van Gogh, but I think his vision of Saturnine is faithful to the current vision of Crusade Era arms and armor that FW has been redesigning.

Then say that, instead of that other thing you said...

There was something cool in star wars that i read

note: prepare for maximum nerdage

that Jango/Boba fett's helmet had that ring around it that allowed for views 360 degrees.

I wouldn't put that idea past it, im sure there's something that allows visibility of sorts

Can you imagine how difficult that would be to figure out? That thing at the super extreme left of your vision is actually behind you and if it moved a tiny, tiny bit one direction it would suddenly be on the super extreme right of your vision, but still actually behind you.

Maybe have some form of overlap to avoid the confusing jump from left to right? Something right behind you would thus be visible both left and right so that when you're being backstabbed by a Night Lord you'd be doubly terrified!

I figure if Space Marines are able to handle blink-clicking icons while having every single little thing in their view having its own data feed as well as company/squad indicators and who knows how many other blinking lights in that visor, they can handle something as simple as "rabbit glasses".

It requires me to register, Talos. Maybe later. Pity, though, can you outline the general view they have on the armour?

It has the same rules as the Indomitus Terminator Armor except that it has the Slow and Purposeful rule instead of Relentless and incorporates a Iron Halo instead of a Refractor Field.

Isn't that the same of cataphractii armor?

Yes it is.

Sure, Greyall makes some decent images and has come a long way in the last two years or so, it's interesting to see the develompment unfold. He has an interesting, detailed, style that is currently limited to Black & White and can make some nice dynamic poses as well. But to raise him to a level above John Blanche, Jes Godwin and a whole cadre of other miniature makers and artists is quite a bit too much in my eyes...

Blanche is awful. I really don't understand why people go so crazy over his art because it looks like something a 14 yr old might produce. At the most I would say his stuff is good enough to inspire sculptors or better illustrators to improve upon his foundation, but the hype about him, I'll never understand.

Come on, Kage...that's pretty much what a Concept Artist is all about. Master Blanche has said himself in past interviews that what he does is translate a universe's spirit into drawing, leaving room for other, better at "bringing to life" artists to shine. I'll say it again, Blanche is pretty much responsible for the grimdark we know and love, do you see how thankful we should be? No point in evaluating him for something he is not - an illustrator. He puts thoughts (disturbing as they may be) into paper.

THAT I can understand. Seeing people gush about him on the forums and in my LGS about how awesome everything he commits to paper is... I just don't get it. I'm actually kinda disappointed when I see his art in a codex, taking up space that other artists could have filled.

It seems there was a recent black library novella (I think Meduson) that published a picture of their new version of the eggshell :

I've heard these were a Salamander exclusive pattern. I prefer Greyall's version, but I find the back weapon pretty cool. Could this be a sub-variant of saturnyne TDA ?

Also, do you think I could equip some of my DIY chapter members with Saturnyne ? The Dread Lords are specialized in close quarters fighting, so it makes sense that they could have special kinds of TDA.
