henrywalker
a post earlier got me thinking about a Grey Knights codex supplement. The only viable and interesting option i can think of would be an inquisition one. I think the inquisition would make a great subject for a supplement as it is so varied and with lots of interesting characters. I've written a couple of datsheets for alternative henchmen recently and i enjoyed doing it so i've decided i'm going to try writing a whole supplement. i've only just thought of it but off the top of my head i'll consider including: Lord Inquisitor - with LOTS of customizability venerable inquisitor - i like the idea of a very old inquisitor whose primary role is planning and knowledge than actual combat interrogator (maybe more in the role of sargeant to a squad rather than an hq) rules for the ordos minoris. some sort of rule set to represent the various philosophical sects (for example if you have a puritan lord inquisitor you may not take daemon weapons or xeno tech but all warbands gain zealot) blanks/distaff various imperial guard units but perhaps reorganised, ie not platoonsi don't want to really give the option to play something akin to a guard armored spearhead as i think that would end up feeling less special and more just guard allies. rules for xenos mercenaries (individuals not squads) I also would like to do a couple of special characters say two inquisitors and one henchmani want any and all ideas, i dont care if you have an idea for a rule or just for a type of unit that should be included. Also any feedback on ideas i already have or the concept in general. thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279190-codex-supplement-inquisition/ Share on other sites
Gentlemanloser
If it was an Inqusitorial Suplement, there would probably be one per Ordo. An Ordo Xenos suplmement could have rules for the Deathwatch and Xenos Mercenaries. Any Ordo suplement could have a Traditional / Radical breakdown. The minor Ordos (and thier Assassins) and things like the Sisters of Silence (are they the ones on the Black ships?) could be good. henrywalker
hmm. i see your point that is much more along the lines of a supplement. i dont care though to be honest. i'm going to write whatever seems to work and worry about what to call it later. good point though. actually i could potentially have it divided into different ordos. marine7312000
This is an awesome idea. Now I just need to put my thinking cap on to give you some more ideas. Growler67
In a generalization perhaps what you are intending is something like: Codex Inquisition - with all of the main points and generalities summarized in the front portions of previous Codices (Witch Hunters, Daemon Hunters etc.). Background and specifics of: Origins, Facilities, Composition, Mission, Organization, Assets and so on. Inclusion and incorporation of the minor compositional elements and factions like Assassins, Henchmen, Contracted parties (Vessels, Captains of same and crew, operatives etc.) and such should be in this document. Basically everything about the Inquisition in one source material document except the 3 major Chamber Militants and their equivalent specifics.....that information should be in their respective Supplements. Supplement Ordo Malleus - Grey Knights materials specifically Supplement Ordo Hereticus - Sisters of Battle materials specifically Supplement Ordo Xenos - Deathwatch materials specifically Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279190-codex-supplement-inquisition/#findComment-3440863 Share on other sites
henrywalker
i think i should redefine. the supplement is not the sort of thing im going to do. im basically going to make codex inquisition, a codex that can be allied with grey knights. i think thats the simplest Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279190-codex-supplement-inquisition/#findComment-3440869 Share on other sites
