Brother Heinrich
Hey Everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows a good or reliable technique for chopping up legs for repositioning, I've only done it once and it was a pain in the rear. My biggest point of confusion is how to preserve the boots when you remove them from the greaves, and tips or tool recommends would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Grotsmasha
I've only done it the once, and while a little tedious, the boot only needed minimal repair. So I grabbed the smallest drill bit for my pinvise and drilled through front to back in 3-4 places following the curve. Then with a fresh blade on my hobby knife, I applied pressure in the drill holes until about 1/2 way through then flipped the legs and repleat. I then smoothed out the underside of the greaves as much as possible, then repaired and attached the boot with a little GS.
