Looking for a good night lords paint recipe.

Hey all!

Getting back into the swing of things after a long hiatus. Long story short I was looking on ebay for some cheap miniatures, and believe it or not I encountered a 1500 pt Night Lords force that I sold probably six or seven years ago :P They were still all unpainted and posted for way cheaper than what I sold them for, so ironically I now own my old Night Lords again :D Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew a good paint recipe for these guys? Again, I'm getting back after a looooooooooong hiatus. Most of my paint bottles are the old black twist-cap bottles (of which 99% are all dried up), so this paint range is brand new to me. Also, what in the heck is a foundation paint  Any tips would be appreciated ^_^

Cheers,

-Kal

Foundation Paints aren't even part of the new range. :D Hopefully no one is trying to sell them to you as such.

The new GW line uses Base, Shade, Layer, and Glaze pots.

I'm not a Night Lords player, so I'm not totally sure the following are appropriate colors for them, but hopefully I'm close:

For a midnight blue, you probably want to start with Kantor Blue and shade with either Nuln Oil or Drakenhof Nightshade (if you are using the new range). Could highlight with just a touch of Alaitoc Blue (or a mix of Kantor and Alaitoc), and do the lightning bolts in Alaitoc Blue -> Lothern Blue -> Ulthuan Grey for the bolts and just barely highlight the branch points and angles with spots of White Scar.

Hi!i am actually painting night lords and came up with a really nice recipe.for base colour use khantor blue and wash with drakenhof nightsade.for linings i prefer hoeth blue to alaitoc cuz its a bit brighter.for the lightnings use alaitoc blue then lothern blue and palid witch flesh.

Look in the WIP area. Plenty of Night Lord's going on there by different people. Not all using GW paints either (I used Vallejo Game Colour Night Blue, shaded with Badab Black (would be Nuln Oil) with a couple of highlights).
