Choosing a Legion

Recommended Posts

With one dice roll to the God Emprah/ Dark Gods the final results are:

Iron Hands, thank you all for your awesome posts and no worries IW I may make a small strike force of them as I love some of the things you have said!

Cheers and may the Emperor and Omnissiah be with you all!

@Cpt Uriel Ventris I would roll again but then I may fall back to indecision and that is something I cannot afford wink.png . Though in the far future Iron Warriors will be part of my army which hopefully by the time they are made I will have tons of more stuff out for them, so cheers!

I'll hold you to that, brother tongue.png

Anyway, good luck with the Iron Tenth.thumbsup.gif

Do the loyalist Iron Warriors that turned there backs on Perturabo and caved an asteroid in on a titan before legging it with an ultramarine, during a heresy short story.

IIRC, only a handful survived that ordeal, unfortunately. It would end up being a kill-team with a Warsmith who was suffering from old age.

It was a hrud entropic field that literally aged everything within its radius. It looked like WoT had said to do those specific Iron Warriors. I just presented the obvious problem with making them into an army was all.

Yeah, I don't think a 5 man army would achieve a whole lot (even with one Ultramarine). Especially in Legion rules.

I think the answer is to do loyalist Iron Warriors. The Iron Within (or is it Without?) is fugging awesome.

Ding Ding Ding, there's the winner.

Follow the example of Warsmith Barabas Dantioch of Lesser Damantyne and tear down fortifications in the name of the Emperor.

and besides, I thought Ferrus Manus believed that an obsession with bionics replacing flesh was itself a heresy and sacrilege.

Edit:  Personally, I like the Sons of Horus (but not the Luna Wolves or the Black Legion) because I like the fluff about their gang-tribal feudalism and the level of brutality that they show as warriors.  In my opinion, they are more brutal than the World Eaters, because the WE are mindless berserkers when controlled by the butcher's nails, while the SoH actually choose their brutality.  Something about their brutality and their shock-and-awe / tip-of-the-spear tactics are appealing to me.  However, this preference is made without knowledge of either Book II's Iron Hands or Book III's Iron Warriors, so IDK.  In general, I'd throw my vote to the IW.
