henrywalker
I'm using a very shiny metallic base on my grey knights (krylon premium chrome) I want to shade it but when I try using nuln oil it dulls the shine and makes it grimy. I tried Vallejo soft black which didn't shade it enough. Any suggestions? I have a pot of tamiya smoke but I've never used it so I don't know how it would look. Urauloth
This is probably a silly question but if the vallejo soft black didn't shade it enough, have you tried using a second wash of it? Gurth
Tamiya X19 Smoke is probably the greatest model paint ever made. In any case, "I've never used it so I don't know how it would look" is not a good reason for not giving it a try. What do you have to lose by taking a model and painting it with that? Worst case is that you have to repaint the area — it's not like the paint is going to eat through your model if it doesn't look right … Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279369-washing-clean-metal/#findComment-3444911 Share on other sites
