Blood Angels WIP Thread

Hello brothers,

It's been a long time since I've indulged in power armor. My recent foray into Necrons has left me wanting to build a new marine army from the ground up. Despite the fact that C:SM is practically on my front porch, I've decided to keep my Crimson Fists shelved and start Blood Angels. I usually have a glaring problem with starting armies and not finishing them, and I've told myself that this will not happen with this army. This blog/thread is here to provide motivation for me, while posting pictures for feedback, thoughts, and advice.

As for the army, I'm going for a 2nd-3rd Armageddon war 3rd company themed army. I plan on using Captain Tycho in the future, but for now, a Librarian will suffice. Tactical/Death Company squads will provide the bulk of my army, with Assault squads providing my flexibility. I have a squad of Sanguinary Guard, but have been thinking about Vangard Vets to replace them. This is going to be a fairly mechanized list, with one Tac squad and my Death Company in Rhinos, and one Tac squad in a Drop pod. As for "heavy firepower," I plan on including a Predator and a Baal Predator. The fast tanks have really drawn my eye with this book, and I'm usually a huge fan of Vindicators and Land Raiders. Those will be a later project, although I have a "Godhammer" pattern Land Raider in the box with no certain future.

These photos are going to be cell phone quality for the most part. I started this thread about a week into working on the army. The paint scheme I'm going for is more of a crisp, clean feel than the grim darkness that is pretty popular. Prime White, basecoat Mephiston Red, Nuln Oil Wash, then Evil Sunz Scarlet for the armor plates. Here's what I have so far:
